21 Satisfying Best Breakfast at Disney World Options That Will Make Your Meal Plans Easy
This post is all about the Best Breakfast at Disney World.

The Best Breakfast at Disney World is probably the hardest meal to find. If your family is anything like mine, either rope dropping at the park or catching up on some zzz’s gets in the way of morning chow time.
But whether you want grab-and-go, casual sit-down, or all-you-can-eat, I’ve got the best Disney World breakfast options for you in this blog post.

Grab-and-Go
Most mornings, my family and I are on a mission to get to the parks. That’s when the convenience of grab-and-go breakfast options at Disney World truly shines, catering perfectly to our busy schedules.
Resort Marketplace
Most Disney resorts will have a marketplace that offers premade items ready to grab. The market may double as a gift shop or a quick service, so be on the lookout. It will usually offer your standard cup of Joffrey’s coffee and items like muffins, yogurt parfaits, and croissants.
Don’t forget to bring your refillable mug, because you can fill it up with coffee or other drinks. You can always send one family member to gather an assortment while everyone gets ready or stop by as a group on the way to transportation.
On the flip side, you can plan in advance and visit the market the evening before to pick up the breakfast essentials. This is an excellent option if you have a refrigerator in your room.
Joffrey’s
If you prefer to bolt out of the hotel and grab the first available bus to the parks in the morning, then Joffrey’s will better fit your schedule. Once I’m situated on the bus, skyliner, or monorail, I will pull up Joffrey’s on my Disney park app and plan out my route for once I’ve arrived.
Joffrey’s kiosks are conveniently located at the park entrances and other notable areas. They usually offer a variety of specialty coffees, such as espresso, flavored lattes, cold brews, and frozen cappuccinos. Food options are limited to pastries, which most commonly will be donuts.
Resort Coffee Cafes

Sometimes, you must ask yourself, “What kind of coffee do I need”? If you can answer that with “black coffee” or “coffee with two sugars,” then your standard market visit will suffice.
But, if you need a “caramel macchiato” or a “double espresso shaken with vanilla over ice,” then you have to look a little beyond the marketplace. This is where I will discuss a few of my favorite resort cafes.
Carousel Coffee
- Carousel Coffee at BoardWalk Inn is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It offers a wide variety of pastries, fresh fruit, and yogurt parfaits. The menu also contains specialty coffees and teas for all tastes.
Le Petit Cafe
- Le Petit Café at Riviera is open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. for coffee and bakery items. In addition to standard pastries, this café has signature offerings like macarons and biscotti. I’ve found that you can request almost any crazy coffee order here, and they can make something yummy happen.
Kona Island
- Kona Island at the Polynesian is open from 6:30a to 11a. They have a great selection of pastries that will definitely fill you up. The coffee offerings are slightly more limited than your local Starbucks, but you can find your delicious iced coffee drinks here.
Quick Service
Another popular option is to rope drop your favorite ride and then hit up a quick service spot. In case you don’t know, rope drop means getting into the park before opening, lining up behind the rope, and ” running” (AKA fast walk) to your first attraction at park open.
This is by far the best way to avoid a long line for your favorite ride. Afterwards, you can worry about sustenance.
I’ve broken this down by park and mentioned our rope drop strategy:
Magic Kingdom
(our rope drop ride is Seven Dwarfs)

Sleepy Hollow
Sleepy Hollow is great because you can place a mobile order, and it will be ready to pick up when you arrive. Our favorite is the fresh fruit waffle sandwich with a chocolate hazelnut spread.
Or you can’t go wrong with the Mickey-shaped waffle with strawberries and powdered sugar. They also offer Joffrey’s coffee, chocolate milk, and hot chocolate here.
Gaston’s Tavern
Gaston’s Tavern is a must-try on your next visit if you haven’t been before. The enormous, warm cinnamon rolls are to die for!
Also, don’t forget to order the LeFou’s Brew and give it a taste. The refreshing drink is frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow. Kids especially love it.
Lines can be long, so try to head there right after completing your first attraction.
Hollywood Studios
(our current rope drop ride is Rise of the Resistance)

Ronto Roasters
Ronto Roasters is only natural after starting your day on Rise or the Millenium Falcon. This is another excellent mobile order situation. It makes your breakfast stop even quicker for your jam-packed park day.
The Ronto Morning wrap is a hot choice, but you can stick to the original wrap if you prefer. If meat ain’t your thing, then try the Rising Moons overnight oats.
Trolley Car Cafe
Trolley Car Café is Hollywood’s Starbucks. If you only require your specialty coffee and a breakfast sandwich or pastry, then come back around for Trolley Car Café.
Like most Starbucks on property, expect a little wait, but lines usually move quickly.
Epcot
(we rope drop Test Track or Remy’s Ratatouille)

Crepes A Emporter
Crepes A Emporter by La Creperie de Paris is a quick option for a sweet and/or savory crepe after riding Remy’s Ratatouille.
Our favorite sweet crepe is hazelnut & chocolate, and our favorite savory option is ham and cheese.
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie will be a little heavier than crepes, not to mention all the sweets they have to choose from.
There are yummy sandwiches, quiches, and croissants. And if you’re looking for a good spot to start “drinking around the world, ” order a mimosa!
Animal Kingdom
(Avatar is a mandatory rope drop)

Creature Comforts
Creature Comforts is Animal Kingdom’s Starbucks. So, head over to get your favorites and walk around the picturesque park while slurping down your morning cup of joe.
Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe
Yak & Yeti Local Foods Café is the best place for breakfast bowls.
Kids might like the pancake and sausage stick—yes, it’s sausage on a stick covered in a pancake and looks like a corndog—or get the standard French toast.
Casual Sit Down
The next option is to plan ahead and make reservations for a casual sit-down breakfast. I usually save this option for resort-only days. Sometimes, you need a break from the park, and that’s when we sleep in and try for an 8 or 9 o’clock breakfast reservation.
Or save this breakfast idea for the last morning of your trip before you head home. Below are some popular favorites, but I usually choose a restaurant at the resort where we are staying to make it as stress-free as possible.
Grand Floridian Cafe
Grand Floridian Café is located at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, of course. The breakfast (and lunch) menu is served from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
So, even if you prefer a burger, go ahead and order one for breakfast!
Olivia’s Cafe
Olivia’s Café is located at Old Key West Resort. Brunch is from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. We love the fun, laid-back atmosphere here. The food is well-priced by Disney standards, and I always leave fully satisfied.
I like to reserve a table at Olivia’s Café every time we stay at Old Key West because it has never disappointed me.
Steakhouse 71
Steakhouse 71 is the newest restaurant in the Contemporary Resort. I have yet to experience this place, but I have heard great things about it, so I’m including it.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Let me know what you think about Steakhouse 71 in the comments.
Ale & Compass Restaurant
Ale & Compass Restaurant is a good option if you are in the mood for a breakfast buffet without the character dining upcharge.
They offer breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. I recommend this convenient sit-down restaurant if you stay at Yacht or Beach Club Resort.
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Whispering Canyon Café serves All-You-Care-To-Enjoy skillets, so come hungry. They cost $26 per person and are a very filling and popular choice.
This restaurant is located at whimsical Wilderness Lodge and has a warm, family-friendly, and boisterous atmosphere.
Character Dining
Finally, let’s discuss the popular character dining options. In case you are wondering, character dining is the experience of meeting multiple Disney characters during your meal. The characters go table to table and interact while you eat. Kids love it!
Reservations are a must for this experience. This option is pretty pricey for a family, so we usually save character dining for special occasions, like birthdays. Don’t forget your autograph books!
Chef Mickey’s
Chef Mickey’s is a buffet-style breakfast experience at the Contemporary Resort with the classic characters. I highly recommend this restaurant if you stay at any of the monorail resorts.
We will still rope drop Magic Kingdom and then have a 10 a.m. reservation planned for Chef Mickey’s. This way, we work up an appetite because, at $54 per adult and $34 per child, we better eat a ton!
‘Ohana
‘Ohana offers a family-style feast featuring Lilo & Stitch and other friends at the Polynesian Resort. This is another monorail hotspot.

The All-You-Care-To-Enjoy breakfast skillets are filling, and the freshly made pineapple-coconut bread is so yummy! Pricing is a little better here: $49 per adult and $30 per child.
Topolino’s Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace is located at the Riviera Resort. This breakfast menu offers a choice of entrée at $49 per adult and $30 per child. It is definitely not the abundant buffet or all-you-can-eat option like the others.
But you get amazing views in a fancy rooftop restaurant for that price. And Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy are dressed in the cutest, most stylish outfits here!
It’s a must-do character experience if you are staying at Riviera Resort.
Tusker House
Tusker House is a great character experience located at the Animal Kingdom Park. It offers a filling breakfast buffet, and the classic characters are dressed in their safari gear.
The meal currently costs $47 per adult and $30 per child. I recommend rope dropping Animal Kingdom and aiming for a 9:30 a.m. reservation. But don’t be late, because the lunch service starts at 11 a.m.

The Best Breakfast at Disney World
The best Disney World breakfast comes in many forms and is located all over Disney property. During your visit, you may choose a different breakfast dining option on a daily basis.
There are many ways to plan out your vacation, and there really is no wrong way to do breakfast.
On each trip to Disney, we like to mix it up and try new things. So, don’t be afraid to schedule that character meal; the park will be waiting for you. And you don’t have to miss out on breakfast if you plan on rope dropping; grab-and-go options are available.
