But, whether you’re a skilled pickleball player or just getting started, Panama City Beach and the surrounding areas have some fantastic spots to dink around.

Schedule: Open daily all day. Courts are lit for nighttime play.

Lyndell is the most popular place to play in PCB because it’s centrally located and free. Bring your own water, and be aware that there aren’t any restrooms designated for the courts. It’s a friendly atmosphere but come to play competitively.

Frank Brown Park

Location: 16200 Panama City Beach Parkway, PCB, FL 32413

Courts: 3 Indoor Courts with Outdoor courts arriving soon
Fees: *$5/visit or $30 for a 10-visit punch card
Schedule: Available Days & Times vary based on season (check website)

Frank Brown will soon have multiple outdoor pickleball courts. Until then, the indoor courts are usable but have bad lighting, and there are only three available.

Lynn Haven Sports Complex

Location: 2201 Recreation Dr, Lynn Haven, FL 32444

Courts: Indoor & Outdoor courts
Fees: Outdoor courts free, Indoor pay-to-play (*$5/visit or $30 for a 10-visit punch card)
Schedule: Outdoor courts open daily from daylight-9 pm, first come-first serve; indoor courts vary, but usually 8-11 am on weekdays. (call or check the website before visiting for current indoor play)

The indoor courts are great here, especially when it’s cold and windy outside. They usually have 6 indoor courts, unless half the gym is reserved for basketball, which will mean only 3 available courts. Usually pretty good competition here.

Papa Joe’s Bayside is the newest spot for pickleball in Panama City Beach. It’s located just over the bridge, right on the Bay. They offer food trucks, a full bar, live entertainment, pontoon boat rentals, and of course, pickleball. Open play seems to be more active in the evening, after people get off work. The lights are great for nighttime play here. Many events, tournaments, and clinics are also offered. So, definitely check their events calendar. Coastal Elite Sports

Schedule: Visit the website for scheduled open play (different days for beginners and intermediates) and check out their pickleball clinics.

Freeport is a drive, but this is the perfect place to sign up for lessons or improve your game with a pickleball clinic from a pro. Check this indoor place out. It’s great for those rainy and windy days.

Parker has some really nice courts that aren’t in high demand in that area. They are quite a drive, but the courts are often openly available. And there are bathrooms on-site. Bonus!

Everyone has been loving “Dune Lakes” lately. They have just added 4 new courts, making a total of 8 courts that can be used all day long for free. This is the perfect place for everyone from Destin to Panama City. During the “snowbird” season, Lyndell becomes overwhelmed, making the South Walton Sports Complex in Santa Rosa Beach the obvious best choice. Open play is all levels, and court reservations are free and easy to make (click on the website above for the most up-to-date info).

Bayside Pickleball Club

Bayside is the newest addition to the Santa Rosa Beach pickleball scene. It’s an indoor option with four state-of-the-art courts with a fun and friendly vibe. The owners are young, social, and avid pickleball/tennis players. They offer clinics as well as private and group lessons. Sign up now!
